About the Yale University Art Gallery
Founded in 1832, the Yale University Art Gallery is the oldest university art gallery in America. The mission of the Gallery is to provide a place to bring together art, scholarship and the greater community.
The Yale University Art Gallery now contains over 300,000 items, including 15 by Thomas Hart Benton.
The Gallery is free and open to the public.
